Pimp Your Mincemeat!

Making your own mincemeat is very satisfying & means you can put in whatever you want but if you are short of time (& money) here is a clever idea to turn a plain old jar of shop bought mincemeat into something special!

Take one jar of mincemeat, mine was £1. (not a “special” or “luxury” one)

Extra ingredients:

Fruit

Nuts

Spice (e.g. mixed spice, cinnamon etc)

….& if you're anything like my hubby, an extra splash of booze!

Tip the mincemeat out into a bowl, & add all the extra ingredients you want.

Stir well, allow to steep for about 15-20 minutes. You will need either another jar or a bigger jar than the original to fit it all back into!
