A lovely comforting side dish to go with.....whatever you like really! My recipe serves 4 but you can go as big as you need to!
Serves 4 Approx 57p per person

Ingredients
3 large potatoes, peeled & thinly sliced
1 leek, thinly sliced
75g grated cheddar
150ml double cream
100ml milk
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 bay leaf
Pre-heat the oven to 180Fan/200C/Gas6.
Lightly grease an ovenproof dish with butter.
Place a layer of potato in the bottom of the dish, then a layer of leeks & about 1/3 of the cheese then season with salt & pepper. Repeat the layer finishing with potato & the rest of the cheese.
Place the cream, milk, garlic & bay leaf in a saucepan & bring to a boil.
Remove from the heat & carefully pour over the potato & leek layers.
Cover with foil & place in the oven for 30 minutes then remove the foil & cook for a further 30 minutes.
Serve.
